Essential Oils Guide
Bergamot essential oil has antibacterial, deodorising, refreshing, soothing, and uplifting properties which make it excellent for body skincare preparations, for ensuring healthy and vital skin. Bergamot essential oil has a fresh, citrus and slightly spicy aroma and is powerfully refreshing, uplifting and invigorating and helps maintain a balanced mood. FCF at the end of Bergamot indicates that the furocoumarins (namely bergaptene) have been removed by steam distillation. Bergaptene free Bergamot (FCF) reduces the susceptibility to photosensitizing and is the preferred bergamot for safe use in massage blends and in perfumes.
Chamomile (Roman) essential oil is both soothing and for the mind and body. Chamomile essential oil is very relaxing and its anti-bacterial properties make it an excellent essential oil for use in body skincare to soothe sensitive and itchy skin.
Carrot seed essential oil is warming and reviving. It is good for problem skin, including overheated and irritated skin and also mature skin.
Cedarwood atlas (cedrus atlantica) essential oil is uplifting and reviving and has a warm, sweet and camphoraceous aroma with a woody-balsamic undertone. It is useful for everyday stresses and strains. It is also known to be an aphrodisiac.

Lavender angustifolia essential oil is generally regarded as the most versatile essential oil. Lavender essential oil has antiseptic, balancing, soothing and rejuvenating properties. The soothing properties of lavender essential oil make it ideal oil for use in body skincare preparations for everyday problem skin. It is suitable for all skin types.
Lavender essential oil is also widely used for relaxation and in promoting a restful night. It has a sweet and floral-herbaceous aroma with a woody undertone.
Peppermint essential oil has cooling, invigorating, clearing, refreshing and antiseptic properties. It is refreshing to the nasal passages when used as an inhalant. Peppermint essential oil is mildly antiseptic and helps purify the skin. It is useful in maintaining healthy digestion and also as an insect repellent. It has a fresh, bright and minty aroma.

Rosemary essential oil is invigorating, enlivening and energising, giving clarity to the mind and aiding concentration. Rosemary essential oil is a toning essential oil for the body, helpful with muscular fatigue. Beneficial in hair care preparations, giving a healthy shine to hair. Useful in maintaining a healthy immune system. It has a penetrating, fresh, woody-balsamic and minty aroma.

Carrier Oil Guide
Grapeseed oil contains many vitamins and minerals. Grapeseed oil is suitable for all skin types. It is light and easily absorbed making it an excellent base oil for salt body scrubs and massaging.
Sweet almond carrier oil contains glucosides, minerals and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. Being rich in protein sweet almond carrier oil is useful for dry, itchy skin, and for cooling overheated skin.
Sweet Almond carrier oil is good for most skin types. It can be used on its own or part of a blend, as a base oil.
The unrefined oil has a delicate, sweet smell and a flavour with a hint of marzipan.
* Sweet almond carrier oil is said to be non-irritating and non-sensitising, and considered safe for cosmetic use but a few people are allergic to cosmetics containing almond oil (likely due to its nut content).*
